Biographie
HJCP is a Filipino filmmaker, director, writer, producer, and entrepreneur whose career spans filmmaking, theater, live entertainment, and multimedia production. With over two decades of experience in the creative industry, he has built a reputation for combining cinematic storytelling with technical expertise and large-scale production management.
He began his career as a Technical Director for theater productions in the Philippines from 2003 to 2013. During this period, he worked on acclaimed stage productions including Florante at Laura, Noli Me Tangere, Ibong Adarna, Mahiwagang Lampara: The Musical, and Pedro Calungsod: The Musical. His extensive background in theater and technical production laid the foundation for his multidisciplinary approach to filmmaking and visual storytelling.
His ability to bridge creative vision with technical execution led to commissions from local television networks, government agencies, advertising firms, corporations, and private organizations. Over the years, he has directed and produced feature films, independent short films, documentaries, music videos, television content, commercials, corporate productions, and large-scale live events. He has also served as a Technical Adviser and Production Designer for numerous corporate events and commercial productions.
In 2013, HJCP relocated to Papenburg, Germany, where he assisted in the construction and development of entertainment facilities for Genting's Dream Cruises fleet, contributing his expertise in technical entertainment systems and production infrastructure.
Returning to the Philippines in 2018, he resumed his work as a filmmaker and creative producer, directing and producing short films, commercial videos, music videos, and live productions while continuing to expand his work across film, events, and multimedia.
HJCP made his feature directorial debut with "Ang Kwento ni Makoy" and continues to develop original film projects while leading productions through HJCP Studio. His work is characterized by a passion for compelling storytelling, cinematic craftsmanship, and creating immersive experiences across film and live entertainment.
