In the midst of the scorching summer of 1984, Sumeru, Lakhbeer, Ayub, Navya, and Mangal, a group of children from the mythical village of Chelone in India, spent their days learning and playing together. But the highlight of their day was listening to bedtime stories from Dadi, an experienced puppeteer.

However, the drought had reached its peak in Chelone, forcing the villagers to relocate to a safer place - including Dadi. The children were devastated, but they soon found an unusual friend in Kalki, a 100-year-old giant tortoise who could talk and shared fascinating stories.

Despite their initial surprise and fear, the children quickly formed a bond with Kalki and convinced him to share their favorite bedtime stories. Kalki then took them on a journey to Gondwara, an exotic land filled with plenty of strange tales that changed the way they looked at life.

While the children's newfound knowledge helped better the village's well-being, a mysterious roar from the forbidden forest threatened to destroy it all. The five kids stepped in and saved their community from certain doom.

But the village's troubles did not end there, as there were still secrets hidden in the forbidden forest that could change their future.
