Mert Ramazan Demir was born in the Sile district of Istanbul, Turkey. His family is originally from Van. He has 4 brothers and 1 sister. In his high school years, he has been professionally involved in soccer and basketball. After discovering his interest in acting, he has attended to "Dialogue Communication Academy" where he was trained with famous instructors. Following years he was accepted to the Beykent University Conservatory Program. There he has worked with Ali Bilgin and Semih Bagci for the Camera acting. He also has attended to the Michelle Danners workshops. After his education, Mert Ramazan Demir has worked in various TV and film projects. He shared the lead role with Damla Sonmez, Cansu Tosun and Emre Cetinkaya in "I Am You" directed by Sonia Nassery Cole, the first film in which he acted on the big screen. He learned Dari for the movie "I Am You". He took horse riding and sword fighting lessons for the Netflix series Rise of Empires: Ottoman. He played in youth film "Sesinde Ask Var" and horror film "Uc Harfliler: Adak" in 2019. He took the lead role in the mini-series "Ciplak" aired in Blu TV directed by Can Evrenol. His first role in national TV was the character of Ates in the TV series Ogretmen, which aired on Now TV in 2020. He also starred in the Netflix film "UFO" and the surreal crime series "Olum Zamani" on Exxen. His breakthrough came with the hit TV series Yali Capkini, where his portrayal of the character Ferit Korhan brought him immense international fame and recognition. Following this massive success, he expanded his digital footprint by starring in the popular Netflix series "Sahmaran". In 2025, he starred in the hit film "Metruk Adam", which became the #1 Turkish movie on Netflix, breaking audience records with 28 million views. He then led the Disney+ original series "Bize Bi'Sey Olmaz", a highly successful project that maintained its #1 position on the platform even 101 days after its premiere. Most recently, he took on the lead role of Yusuf in the OGM Pictures television drama "Delikanli" (internationally distributed as The Gentleman). Although the series faced an early cancellation after 7 episodes due to intense domestic TV competition, it became a massive global success, highly praised by the production company, and topped the charts across various international platforms. Besides acting, he has also modeled before. He worked with brands Mercedes Benz, Gant, Lacoste and Trendyol and appeared in Magnum commercial. Recent advertisements in which he has been featured as the brand ambassador are Dimes Cool Lime, Head & Shoulders and QNB. He was invited to the fashion shows of world-famous brands YSL beauty and Burberry. Notably, he was officially named an Icon by YSL beauty. Furthermore, during the fashion weeks in Paris, Milan, and London, he became the only Turkish name to enter the list of guests with the highest engagement. Attending London Fashion Week as the first Turkish actor, he achieved the highest growth rate in engagement, ranking first in that category and fourth among all global guests. Following this, Burberry featured him on their official Instagram account with 20 million followers, marking the first time a Turkish figure was showcased on their platform.
