Biography
Michael Madison studied acting at Playhouse West in North Hollywood and took private lessons with Diane Venora.
After graduating from Texas Tech University, he moved to Los Angeles. His first job was as a temp for a Giant Screen/Imax Theater development company, where he met his future producing partner. This led to their first film production, NSYNC Bigger Than Live, an IMAX/Giant Screen concert film. This success resulted in the creation of Nelson Madison Films, where Michael writes, directs, edits, and acts.
Soon after, he began studying at Playhouse West, a renowned acting studio founded by Jeff Goldblum and Robert Carnegie. His teachers included Mark Pelligrino, Eric Edwards, Sean Barnes, and Chris Liebe. Notable alumni include James Franco, Scott Caan, Ashley Judd, and Mark Pelligrino.
Michael made his directorial debut with "Shifted," a SAG feature-length crime drama showcased at film festivals. He also starred as the lead alongside Jeris Lee Poindexter, Frankie Ray, Jill Wagner, and Vanessa Johannson.
His latest feature, "Delivered," recently premiered on iTunes, Amazon VOD, Google Play, and M-Go. This SAG film has gained critical acclaim for its innovative use of technology to tell a compelling story with an efficient workflow. CNN film critic Nick Nicholson praised it, saying, "Delivered is a damn good film," and described Michael Madison’s performance as "epic" and "very believable," adding that it makes viewers root for him. He also commended the story arcs. The film received the Special Jury Award at Worldfest.
Michael has also directed, edited, and acted in six national commercials for Vehix.com.
Indie Rights, the distribution branch of Nelson Madison Films, is rapidly gaining recognition as a leader in digital distribution. Their film library is available on platforms such as iTunes, Amazon, Hulu, Vudu, PlayStation, SnagFilms, Google Play, M-Go, YouTube Movie Rentals, cable VOD, and the Discovery Channel.
