Biography
Grant Lancaster is a British-American stuntman, filmmaker and actor.
Raised in Northern California, he developed an early fascination with storytelling and the outdoors, spending as much time diving into extreme sports as he did making films with friends, or writing by the creek behind his house. That curiosity eventually led him into acting at an early age, and later into the world of stunts as a full circle opportunity to amalgamate every passion of his into a lifelong career, where performance and physical storytelling naturally came together.
Before transitioning full-time into stunt performance, Grant built an extensive background as an actor and filmmaker. He trained at the London Academy of Film & TV, studied at the San Francisco Comedy College and Shelton Studios, earned a BFA in Acting with honors and a minor in Psychology in New York, and received a full scholarship to complete his MFA in Acting at UC Irvine. His work has screened at festivals including Tribeca, Cannes Short Film Corner, London, Tacoma, and the SAG Short Film Festival, while his performance in The Blacklight earned a nomination for Best American Actor at the Septimius Awards.
His stunt work can be seen on Daredevil: Born Again, The Diplomat, Zero Day, Dexter: Resurrection, FBI, Poker Face, FBI: Most Wanted, American Rust, Kinda Pregnant, Furious, A Quiet Place Part III, The Exorcist and has had the privilege of doubling for the gifted talents of Oscar Isaac, Will Forte, Mark Ruffalo, Scoot McNairy, William H. Macy, Brett Goldstein, and others.
Away from set, Grant is a seasoned adventurist, writer, photographer, national AMA motorcycle champion, skier, snowboarder, and artist. He credits the shaping of his soul to unplanned travels with his camera, writing, going fast, hiking off-trail into the wilderness, and chasing adventure, and is always his happiest exploring new places and collecting stories worth telling.
