Biography
Leo Richard Howard, born on July 13, 1997, in Newport Beach, California, and raised in Fallbrook, California, near San Diego, is a talented actor, model, and martial artist. He gained recognition for his roles in Kickin' It (2011) and Conan the Barbarian (2011). In 2010, he received a Young Artist Award for his performance as Laser Short in the film Shorts. Leo portrayed a young Conan in Conan the Barbarian (2011) and a young Snake Eyes in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009), starring alongside Dennis Quaid and Channing Tatum. From June 13, 2011, until the series finale on March 25, 2015, he played Jack Brewer in the Disney XD series Kickin' It.
Before achieving fame, Leo had already won three world championships in martial arts competitions by age eight. He attended Tri-City Christian Schools in Vista, California. A karate champion since the age of four, he is also a member of the Sideswipe Performance Team.
At nine years old, Leo became the youngest performer with the Mullins Sideswipe traveling martial arts group. He performed his own stunts in G.I. Joe: The Rise of Cobra (2009).
Leo is an only child. His parents, Randye and Todd Howard, ran the Big Bulldog Ranch, specializing in breeding English bulldogs. They appeared on the show World's Worst Tenants (2012). His father, originally from South Carolina, is of English and Scots-Irish descent, while his mother, from California, has Russian Jewish and Austrian Jewish heritage.
