Biography
Osmani Rodriguez, one of seven siblings, was born in Camaguey, Cuba. He is of Lebanese and Italian heritage, speaks Spanish fluently, and proudly became an American citizen.
In 1971, he and his family immigrated to the United States, settling in Boston, Massachusetts.
Osmani's acting career started in theatre, where he portrayed "Chino" in West Side Story. He later took on favorite roles such as "Nicky Arnstein" in Funny Girl, "Mr. Fagin" in Oliver, and "Max" in Lend Me a Tenor.
Together with his wife, Rena, he has produced and starred alongside her in productions like "Michael" in I Do, I Do! and The Miracle Worker.
He developed a passion for performing in print, commercial, and film work. To date, he has held principal roles in over eight national commercials, including playing the "Security Guard" in an American Express commercial, the "Pharmacist" for CVS under the direction of Martin Scorsese, a principal role in "Jenny O," and the "Pepsi Worker" in Pepsi Cola’s national commercial, "The Machine."
A major milestone was his featured role as "Carlos" in the film The Maiden Heist, directed by Peter Hewitt, where he acted alongside esteemed actors Morgan Freeman, Christopher Walken, William H. Macy, and Marcia Gay Harden.
His television experience includes playing "FBI Agent Ramirez" in the CBS series Waterfront with Billy Baldwin. He also stepped in for George Lopez and Freddie Prinze Jr. for two consecutive years to assist with the NFL Opening Kickoff events through White Cherry Entertainment.
Occasionally, Osmani hosts a nationally televised eleven-minute public service announcement focused on paternity acknowledgment.
In his free time, Osmani enjoys spending time with his wife Rena and their two sons, Osmani Jr. and Nathaniel.
