As an award-winning director with over 10 years of distinguished experience in the entertainment industry, Joey has made significant contributions as a jury member for the LUSH Flourishing Plan International Film Venture and is a proud member of Women in Film (WIF). Her work has been featured in more than 100 film festivals and exhibitions globally, including prestigious events that qualify for Oscar and BAFTA awards. Joey's films have been selected and honored at renowned festivals such as the Cannes Lions Young Director Award, LA Shorts International Film Festival, Asian American International Film Festival, Cannes Film Festival Short Film Corner, Beijing International Film Festival, Huading Awards, Golden Rooster and Hundred Flowers Film Festival, among others. Her works have been exhibited in over forty countries, regions, and cities worldwide.

Joey was the only Chinese director selected for the Indeed Rising Voices program, one of Hollywood's most supported development initiatives, launched by Lena Waithe, where she won $100k to complete a short film. This film was theatrically released in selected theaters across five U.S. states, screening before major blockbusters like Barbie and Blue Beetle. It is a contender for the Academy Awards and had its world premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival, one of the top three film festivals in the U.S. Joey has been selected for prestigious programs like Jackie Chan's Project A Program, the World Film Festival Foundation's Director Program, and the Waves Filmmaker Fostering Project, among others. Her feature screenplay was selected for the China Film Administration's Program for Outstanding Screenplays, along with other distinguished international initiatives.
