Biography
Guilherme Marcos Garcia Leme (born September 29, 1961, in Lençóis Paulista) is a Brazilian actor.
He studied amateur theater at Colégio Objetivo in São Paulo and later at PUC-SP. He took dance classes with Ivaldo Bertazzo, Maria Duchene, and Sônia Mota. In New York City, he pursued courses in music, dance, mime, and theater.
Early in his career, Guilherme co-founded the Companhia de Teatro São Paulo Brasil and participated in festivals across Brazil. Alongside acting on stage, he has produced several productions such as Decadência, Eduardo II, and Felizes da Vida.
Throughout his extensive career, he appeared in telenovelas including Bambolê, Bebê a Bordo, Vamp, Perigosas Peruas, and De Corpo e Alma. He also made a cameo in the children's series Sítio do Picapau Amarelo.
In film, he acted in Benjamim, Erotique, and Anjos da Noite, winning the Gramado Film Festival award for best supporting actor for the latter.
In 2011, he had a cameo role in the telenovela Insensato Coração.
Currently, he directs plays and performed as Meursault in a monologue inspired by Albert Camus' novel L'étranger.
On July 13, 2013, it was announced that Guilherme was undergoing treatment for throat cancer at the A. C. Camargo hospital. After completing treatment, on April 18, 2014, he gave an interview to Quem magazine announcing he was cancer-free.
Following a five-year absence from television, he returned in Rede Record's A Terra Prometida.
