Biography
Nicholas Coombe is a dynamic Australian actor who has rapidly made a name for himself in both film and television. He stars as Nolan, the anxious and detached "Burning Man bestie" to the groom, in the upcoming feature "Same Same But Different," which will premiere at SXSW 2026. As the wedding spirals into a chaotic communal event, Nolan's focus on his vegan lifestyle and conservationist yogi circle often exacerbates the chaos, allowing Coombe to demonstrate his distinctive comedic timing.
On television, Coombe is recognized for his role as Private Anthony Petrocelli, a series regular in CBS/Paramount+’s military dramedy "68 Whiskey" (2020), produced by Academy Award winners Ron Howard and Brian Grazer. He also gave a notable performance in the popular series "The Wilds" (2020), playing Josh Herbert, a talkative, hypochondriac teenager struggling to survive on a mysterious island.
Born in Kyneton, Australia, and raised in Perth, Coombe’s love for performing started at age six with training in tap, jazz, and ballet. By nine, he shifted to musical theater and later moved to Vancouver, Canada, to pursue a career in film and television. His breakout film role was as Randy in "Dora and the Lost City of Gold" (2019), starring alongside Isabela Merced, Eva Longoria, and Michael Peña.
His diverse credits also include a series regular role on ABC’s "Imaginary Mary" opposite Jenna Elfman, the Lionsgate/Buzzfeed comedy "1UP," and appearances in Open Road’s "Midnight Sun" (2018), ABC’s "Take Two," "Motive," The CW’s "iZombie," SYFY’s "The Magicians," and Netflix’s "Spy Kids: Mission Critical."
Outside of acting, Coombe is a skilled musician, playing bass in the band "AVEY" with Avery O’Brien, Aidan Laprete, and Jamison Ko.
He currently lives in Vancouver.
