Biography
Malik Bentalha, born on March 1, 1989, in Bagnols-sur-Cèze, is a French comedian and actor of Algerian and Moroccan heritage. He performs stand-up comedy and has appeared in several films.
From 2007 to 2008, Malik Bentalha studied at Cours Florent for one year. Following this, he performed sketches at Parisian café-theatres, including Théâtre du Point-Virgule.
In 2010, after being discovered by Jamel Debbouze, Malik joined the Jamel Comedy Club and subsequently opened for Debbouze's tour, Tout sur Jamel, for two years. That same year, he met Gad Elmaleh in Montmartre, who invited him to open for his show at the Palais des Sports the next day. He also participated in Le meilleur de Paris fait sa comédie on France 2 in 2010.
In 2011, Malik contributed a segment called Télé Délire on Le Grand Direct, a radio show hosted by Jean-Marc Morandini, initially with Mathieu Madénian and, from September 2011, with Benjamin Josse. In 2014, he joined Cyril Hanouna on the radio program Les pieds dans le plat on Europe 1, alongside Valérie Bénaïm.
Since 2010, he has toured with his first solo show, Malik Bentalha se la raconte, directed by Alex Lutz. A DVD of the show was released in December 2014. In January 2015, W9 aired a live performance of the show, followed by a TV special titled Malik se raconte.
In 2015, he was set to star in Pattaya, a film directed by Franck Gastambide, playing one of the main roles.
He serves as a godfather for the Theodora Children's Charity.
