Biography: Gregory "The Pebble" Fears was born in 1973 in Atlanta, Georgia, into a middle-class working family. He took drama classes during high school and quickly discovered his passion for acting. However, it wasn’t until Hollywood’s arrival in Atlanta that he could fully pursue this passion. Within a short time, Greg appeared in projects such as 2014's Million Dollar Arm, chosen personally by the director, and VH1's Single Ladies. While filming Million Dollar Arm, he received mentorship from Tzi Ma, Bill Paxton, and Pitobash.
Early Life: Gregory "The Pebble" Kenyatta Fears was born on October 31, 1973, in Atlanta, Georgia, to Willie Fears and Margie Powell. His father worked for Ford Motor Company and his mother was employed by Georgia Power. Initially, Greg aimed to study architecture at Georgia Southern but soon shifted to maintenance engineering at Chattahoochee Tech, working in the field for 16 years. Despite this career path, his love for acting remained strong.
The Pebble: Before pursuing acting full-time, Greg aspired to work in a film with Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. In 2013, he was selected by the director of Fast & Furious 7 to serve as the stand-in, photo, and body double for "The Rock." His skills and resemblance earned him praise from the director, crew, and Johnson’s personal staff. This experience earned him the nickname "The Pebble."
Acting Career: Beyond his maintenance engineering career, Gregory Fears has built a successful acting career, leaving his full-time job after 16 years. He debuted in the indie film Inner Demons, The Thrillogy, playing two roles, and later appeared in Broken Matters. His television credits include Single Ladies, Resurrection, The Originals, Being Mary Jane, and Complications. He has also appeared in films like Million Dollar Arm and the upcoming Ride Along 2, as well as commercials for Verizon Wireless and Popeyes Chicken.
Personal Life: Fears has a daughter from his first marriage and currently lives in Georgia with his wife, Michele Fears.
