Biography
Vivek Chendhurpandi is an actor, theatre performer, playwright, and voice artist from Chennai, devoted to the transformed power of performance. For Vivek, acting is a lifelong pursuit of truth, emotion, and human connection-whether on stage, in front of the camera, or behind the mic.
Trained at the prestigious National School of Drama in New Delhi, DeVriksha School of Acting, and Chennai Theatre Academy, he grounds his work in rigorous technique and discipline. Drawing from the Meisner technique, Stanislavski’s system, and Lee Strasberg’s method, Vivek emphasizes attentive listening, inner life, and truthful behavior to build characters from the inside out.
On stage, he has portrayed complex, layered roles in acclaimed productions including Ooryasiyin Sabam, Prahaladha Charithiram, and Indrajith’s Head, deepening his mastery of storytelling and ensemble dynamics. In voice work, Vivek excels in narration, character voices, commercial spots, and dubbing, infusing scripts with precise rhythm, tone, and emotional nuance.
As a playwright, he crafts stories exploring vulnerability, identity, and social dynamics, always tuning into an actor’s ear for the emotional heartbeat of each scene.
