Biography

Les and Jane Dunkleman had nine children before Brian was born. In 1992, Brian began doing stand-up comedy, hoping his parents would eventually call him by his proper name. That same year, he won the "Buffalo's Funniest New Comedian Contest." Although the audience voted and he brought 50 supporters, the important thing is that he never looked back.

Since then, Brian has performed at HBO's US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen, appeared on "The Tonight Show," NBC's "Late Friday," and TBS's "Very Funny at the Laugh Factory." He has acted in popular TV shows like "Friends," "3rd Rock From the Sun," "That '70s Show," and "NYPD Blue," with his performance noted in TV Guide's "Cheers" section. Brian voiced 'Stanford' on MTV's animated series "3South," as well as characters on "The Family Guy" and "Proud Family."

Brian is best known for hosting the first season of "American Idol." He has also hosted pilots for VH1 and FOX and acted in pilots for ABC and 20th Century Fox. Recently, he completed filming his first feature film, "Comedy Hell," alongside Eric Roberts. Brian has guest-starred on popular shows such as "Talk Show with Spike Feresten," "The Ghost Whisperer," and "Las Vegas."

He regularly performs stand-up comedy in Los Angeles at the Laugh Factory and Improv, as well as clubs nationwide. Brian frequently hosts "Family Feud Live" in Las Vegas and Atlantic City for Fremantle Media. You can also currently catch him on Fox's "American Idol Rewind.
