Biography
Tamsin Topolski is an English actress who grew up in London within a creatively enriched family; her father, Daniel Topolski, was a British rowing coach and author, and her mother, Susan Gilmore, is an English television actress. Beginning her acting career as a child, Topolski later trained at the Drama Centre London, performing in stage productions like Twelfth Night, The Seagull, The Lady from the Sea, and Coram Boy. She started her screen career with a recurring role as Lavinia Putney in Penny Dreadful (2015) and has since guest-starred in shows such as Silent Witness, Call the Midwife, Into the Badlands, Strike - The Silkworm, and Holby City. In 2019, she played Bronwyn in The Rook, and in 2022, she portrayed Kelly Tropper in Apple TV+'s Slow Horses. In 2023, Topolski appeared in Atlanta, Guilt III, The Diplomat, and the feature film What You Wish For. Her most notable screen role came in 2024 when she starred as Lucie Snipes in the Netflix thriller The Madness. Beyond acting, she is also a photographer and has ventured into creative roles behind the camera, directing music videos and writing and directing the short film I'm a Good Person (2024). Her career showcases a multidisciplinary artistic path spanning theatre, screen, directing, and visual art.
