Biography
Eric Salberg is a Chicago-born director and filmmaker whose storytelling sensibility is shaped by over a decade of experience across nearly every corner of the entertainment industry. Beginning his career at Columbia College Chicago, Eric came up wearing just about every hat in the business-grip, camera op, AD, art department, production manager, even post-before fully stepping into the director's chair with a uniquely holistic approach to filmmaking.
His directing credits include the Amazon Prime anthology Dark/Web - Hacked (7 Emmy Noms), the stylish psychological slasher short #whoisBeverly, and many more. Known for a visual flair grounded in emotional tension, Eric's work often blends dark humor, suspense, and offbeat character dynamics. He has also helmed web content, music videos, and award-winning shorts that have screened across digital platforms.
In addition to directing, Eric has served as a Production Manager and Producer on projects for Netflix (Love Is Blind, Untold: Sign Stealer), HBO Max (Serving the Hamptons), Amazon Prime (SweetHearts, Dark/Web), and Nike (Return to the Game, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce Doc), among others. His broad experience across scripted and unscripted formats gives him a rare fluency in both the creative and logistical sides of production.
Eric is currently developing genre-forward narratives and director-driven features with a focus on character, mood, and boundary-pushing themes. Whether behind the camera or running the floor, he brings precision, empathy, and a deep love for the craft of storytelling.
