Biography
-A director as well as a screenwriter and editor, Richard Lacombe co-directs the drama series "LA DÉRAPE" (seasons 1, 2 and 3), a series he created himself. A graduate of INIS (class of 2001 - long program), Richard Lacombe has directed several short films, including "Le goûter de bébé", winner of the 2002 AQCC Award for Best Short and Medium-Length Drama. In 2006, he directed TSUNAMI: La deuxième vague (Canal D), a documentary on the reconstruction of homes destroyed by the tsunami in Indonesia. DEBORAH FLETCHER Award 2007 (CIDA), Best Direction for a film on international development. In addition, since 2009, as a screenwriter, he has been developing two feature-length dramas with the financial support of Telefilm Canada (projects in progress, Phase III). A feature-length documentary shot in sub-Saharan Africa, "AFRICORAMA" (Canal D) was selected and presented at the Festival Vues d'Afrique (Montreal, 2009) and the Festival International du Film Panafricain (Cannes, 2009). In 2011, he directed 6 of the 13 episodes of "ÇA ROULE" (TV5), and shot and edited the documentary series "DREAMTEAM 2012" (V). Between 2012 and 2015, he directed the first two seasons of "OPÉRATION POLICE" (Prod. Sovimage and diff. Canal Investigation). Finalist at the 2016 Gémeaux Awards, Best docu-drama series category. In 2015, he scripted and directed the unique documentary "À 200 MILES À L'HEURE" (Anémone Film), broadcast on Canal D, as well as the documentary series "TDAH, MON AMOUR" (Productions Claire Larmarche/Vélocité) broadcast on Télé-Québec. In 2016 he directed the documentary series 24CH season 3 (Attraction média), the magazine "PUNCH" (Torq) and the docu-drama "OPÉRATION POLICE III" (Sovimage) respectively broadcast on RDS, TQS and Canal D Investigation. In 2021, he will shoot the documentary "POUR GARDER TOUTE SA TÊTE" (Prod. 10e Avenue), to be broadcast in January 2022 on Radio-Canada and Tou.tv.
