Fueled by a passion for filmmaking and a relentless commitment to capturing the perfect shot, Kanin began his career early, debuting at age five in "Vice Versa." His talent quickly earned him roles as a stunt double for stars such as Ryan Gosling, Matthew Perry, Ewan McGregor, and Elijah Wood.
Norman Howell’s distinguished career greatly influenced Kanin. Starting at fourteen with an acting role in "The Cowboys," where John Wayne taught him his first movie punch, Norman went on to double for legends like John Travolta, Richard Chamberlain, and Roger Moore.
