Francisco Soto Jr., also known as Frank Soto Jr., is a Puerto Rican actor based in Miami, Florida. Raised by parents who worked as a carpenter and janitor, Frank faced a challenging upbringing. He is recognized for his dedication to acting and his talent for delivering authentic, emotionally rich performances. His career includes roles in film and television, with notable projects such as Haunted, Happy Hour, In the Weeds, and Confinement, alongside appearances on popular series like Full Beat (HBO Max), MacGyver (CBS), and Cobra Kai (Netflix).
Frank's passion for acting began in childhood, captivated by the movies his parents brought home. His love for the craft truly blossomed during his high school years as a Thespian. There, he debuted on stage as Mulberry Foxhill in the short play "She Was Only a Farmer's Daughter." He competed at the state level and earned the Critics' Choice Award for performance three consecutive years, affirming his commitment to storytelling.
He received formal training at the Performers Studio Workshop in Tampa, where he studied the Eric Morris Process, a technique favored by actors like Johnny Depp. Frank further honed his skills in improvisation through the UCG method under the mentorship of Ricky Wayne, Patrick McInnis, and Lorraine Montgomery. Currently, he continues to refine his craft at Station 12 Studio in St. Petersburg, Florida, focusing on method acting, Meisner technique, and advanced improvisation.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Frank infuses his performances with cultural depth and adaptability.
