Biography
Jaclyn is a writer, director and producer who doesn't like to be put in a box, so she creates dark, emotional, sexy, creepy-cool stories. She loves using humor and immersive sound design to push boundaries and explore duality.
Jaclyn has directed several award winning short films, including Seven Fishes, which racked up 4 awards for Directing + Best Short Film along with 22 official selections. Jaclyn's love for movies is rooted in the theater and she had the pleasure of directing 2 innovative one act plays in NYC, Sleeping With Earrings On and Disappearing, both which won "Best Director" and "Best in Fest." After her short film, Downtown, received rave reviews at the Cannes Short Film Corner, Miramax highlighted her as an "emerging filmmaker to watch." The genre bending thriller, Steeped, will be her debut feature film. Jaclyn co-directed and produced the epic music video for the title track on Mike Sabath's debut Warner Records album Being Human (2022). She received a 2020 Gold Telly Award for Directing and Diversity & Inclusion and was featured in Rolling Stone for Aish Divine's Jungly music video.
Jaclyn is pushing the boundaries of vertical storytelling as a screenwriter for the #1 app for micro-dramas, ReelShort, where she is a genre pioneer, having written the 1st officially recognized horror vertical, We're Your Parents, as well as the controversial, true-story-inspired, The Adjuster (both now streaming). In 2024, she wrote 200+ videos for Ray William Johnson's storytelling TikTok channel, racking up over 900M views from 16.8M+ followers. Previously, Jaclyn produced branded and doc-style content for high level clients, including a 2024 Webby Award winning video for Sony/HBO's The Last of Us.
