Lynia Love is a dynamic force in the entertainment industry, seamlessly blending her talents as an actor, filmmaker, and author. Her passion for storytelling was ignited in the church, where she first discovered the power of performance. Over the years, she has honed her craft under the guidance of esteemed acting coaches, including Marishka Phillips (NY), Karen Vicks (PA), Tracey Moore (NY), Jonna Johnson (ATL), Tessa Faye (NY), and Carl Kennedy, MFA (ATL).
Love's film credits include standout performances in Last Love Lost, directed by Jahmar Hill, and Love Him or Leave Him, directed by Tim Fontaine, which won "Best Comedy Feature" at the 2015 Urban Media-Makers Film Festival. Her ability to bring depth and complexity to her characters has made her a sought-after talent in independent cinema.
In 2019, she launched Lynia Love Productions, formerly known as Lady Love Productions, a Tri-state area based independent film production company dedicated to telling bold, thought-provoking stories. She made her mark as an executive producer, co-director, and lead actor in Providence, a gripping crime drama in which she portrays a fierce yet emotionally scarred detective hunting down a serial predator. The film's trailer made waves on the festival circuit, earning an impressive 17 Best Trailer awards.
Beyond film, Love is a multifaceted creator. She is a co-host on The Steven Knight Show, an award-winning podcast, and previously contributed to Happy Hour with Chase on Philly Hott Radio. She is now revamping her own podcast, Create Some ISH, inspired by her book Create Some ISH: A Guide to Creating Without Fear, a motivational work encouraging artists to pursue their passions without hesitation.
Passionate about advocacy, she founded Let Our Voices Elevate, a nonprofit committed to mental health awareness in the Black community and addressing the impact of social media on mental well-being. Through this initiative, she is developing resources, including an app connecting individuals with therapists and mental health support.
