Deon Stubbs, also known as Deonté Stubbs, is an American actor, producer, and creative director working across film, television, and digital media. He is best known for his role as "Onlooker" in the critically acclaimed, multi-award-winning feature Judas & the Black Messiah and "Omar" in McVeigh, which marked defining moments in his on-screen career and solidified his presence in narrative film.
He is the creator, executive producer, and lead actor of the scripted comedy-drama series Deon’s Almost Famous, a semi-autobiographical project exploring ambition, friendship, and the cost of chasing success. The series has garnered strong audience engagement surpassing 90,000 nationally, consistent viewership traction, and growing recognition across digital platforms, helping position Deon as a rising voice in independent television and character-driven storytelling.
In addition to acting, Deon develops and produces original film and series content, with a focus on grounded performances and culturally resonant narratives. His work in commercial and branded storytelling has earned industry recognition, including a Telly Award, reflecting his ability to bridge cinematic craft with broad audience appeal.
Earlier in his career, Deon appeared in studio and independent projects including Pitch Perfect 3, Netflix’s Little Evil, Surviving Compton, and the independent feature Use of Force, directed by James Madio.
