Biography
Nicola is a public relations professional and writer with two decades of experience in communications, marketing and publicity. As the Founder and Director of Pender PR, a boutique entertainment PR agency, Nicola has helped launch TV series, publicity campaigns for theatrical releases of feature films and has worked as a publicist for companies, brands and talent globally. Throughout her career she has worked on numerous film and television properties including the Academy Award Nominated films Sugarcane and Blade Runner: 2049, as well as Kim's Convenience, Riceboy Sleeps, In Flames, Stolen Kingdom, High Rise, The Second Mother and Netflix Original animated series' Beat Bugs and The Last Kids On Earth. The team at Pender PR also works with the production companies behind Neon and Elevation's box office hits The Monkey and Longlegs.
She has worked with studios including Netflix, ABC, CBC, Hulu, Bell, Corus, Lionsgate, WB and more. Over the years Nicola has placed stories in numerous outlets including Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, LA Times, The New York Times, Deadline Hollywood, Rolling Stone, USA Today, The Wrap, Indiewire, Forbes and interviews on top outlets around the globe.
