Biography
Eva Gamallo is a Spanish actress, screenwriter, director and producer. Her work explores childhood, identity, memory, migration, gender, family bonds and the contradictions behind social and emotional relationships.
In 2025, she wrote, produced and directed Culito de rana, a project about children’s gaze towards the news and the adult world. In 2025, she wrote, produced and directed Madres, hijas, espíritus santos, focused on motherhood, female bonds, inherited beliefs and the emotional legacy between generations of women.
In 2025, she began developing Deep Pepe, a documentary about friendship, disability, desire and the dream of travelling beyond one’s familiar world. In 2025, she also she wrote, produced and directed África S.A., a short film that examines volunteer tourism, white savior narratives and the European gaze on Africa.
