Born on September 2, 2005, in West Hills, California, Riley B. Smith is a talented American child actor renowned for his comedic timing. He is best known for portraying Ralph Dineen, Paige's genius son, in the television drama series Scorpion, a role he has played since 2014. Initially recurring in the first season, he was promoted to series regular in Season 2. Riley began his acting career at age 3 with a role in the feature film The Back-Up Plan, starring Jennifer Lopez. Shortly after, he established a steady career in commercials, appearing in campaigns for Clear Wire, U.S. Cellular, Netflix, Lowe’s, and a national DirecTV campaign. His television credits include guest appearances on The Middle and Hot in Cleveland. He also lends his voice to various projects, including the Cartoon Network series Clarence. Riley’s film work includes a role in American Sniper. Outside of acting, he enjoys hiking in the canyons, playing video games, watching films across all genres, and spending time with his best friend. His father is the world-renowned guitarist Josh Smith, and Riley was named after the legendary B.B. King, whose given name was Riley. His family, devoted to the arts, encourages him to follow his passion and find his purpose.
