Biography

Kooch" is a skilled session guitarist based in New York. He played on nearly every Carole King album from the late 1960s and early 1970s. He also appeared on James Taylor's Sweet Baby James and was part of a band called Flying Machine with a then-unknown Taylor. (Recall the lyric "Sweet dreams and Flying Machines in pieces on the ground" from that album?)

He did session work for Linda Ronstadt, Warren Zevon, Harry Nilsson, and Jackson Browne. He co-wrote "Dirty Laundry" and "All She Wants to Do Is Dance" with Don Henley.

He produced recordings for Neil Young, Jon Bon Jovi, Billy Joel, and the Spin Doctors.
