Biography

Russell Jordan was born in Queens, New York, as the eldest of six siblings. After finishing high school, he initially pursued mathematics at Clark Atlanta University before transferring to York College, City University of New York. There, he switched his major and earned a bachelor's degree in Speech Communications with a focus on Theater.

In 2020, Russell received a Helen Hayes Awards nomination for Outstanding Performer - Visiting Production for his role in "Vivian's Music, 1969," a production he continues to be involved with. He was also nominated in 2016 for a New York Innovative Theatre Awards Outstanding Ensemble for his work in "Doric Wilson's Street Theater." In 2014, he won the Planet Connections Theater Festivity Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Musical or Play with Music Award, and in 2013, he was honored with their Outstanding Actor in a Staged Reading Award.

Russell is affiliated with the Articulate Theatre Company and New York Madness.

His screen credits include the Amazon Studios dramatic comedy "The Dangerous Book for Boys," CBS dramas "FBI" and "Blue Bloods," NBC's "The Blacklist," and the pioneering web series "Anyone But Me."

He resides in Brooklyn, New York.
