After six years in Denver, she moved to Hermosa Beach, California, where she continued working in runway, print, and commercial modeling. She later married Carl Herckner and moved to the East Coast. The couple has been married for more than two decades and has two children. During that time, Wilson founded and ran a successful nationwide promotional staffing agency for 14 years.
In 2015, she decided to pursue acting professionally, and in 2019 she booked her first feature film as one of the leads in Sno Babies, playing the mother of a sixteen-year-old heroin addict.
In addition to her work in film and television, Wilson has appeared in numerous commercials, print campaigns, and voiceover projects. Her voice can be heard in the opening scene of the feature film Destiny, where she portrays an uncaring foster mother. The film is scheduled for release in summer 2025.
