Biography
Hollman is best known for her role as "Saxa" in the acclaimed STARZ series Spartacus: War of the Damned and Spartacus: Vengeance, two of the network’s most talked-about shows. An experienced jiu-jitsu practitioner, she has delivered powerful performances as the recurring antagonist and assassin "Amelia Parsons" on NCIS: New Orleans and appeared in AMC’s innovative martial arts series Into the Badlands. Her other notable credits include recurring roles on Ryan Murphy’s 9-1-1 on FOX, A&E’s Navy SEAL Series SIX, as well as Lethal Weapon and Hawaii Five-0.
Originally from Michigan, Hollman grew up with a strong artistic influence from her father, Hart Hollman, a violist with the Detroit Symphony Orchestra, and her mother, Julie, a master pianist. Immersed in the world of classical music, she spent much of her youth at the Opera House and Orchestra Hall. As a teenager, she chose to pursue a career in the arts, relocating to New York City to study at prestigious acting studios, refining her talent for portraying a wide range of characters on stage and screen. In 2004, Hollman moved to Los Angeles, where she began securing roles within her first year.
In addition to her acting career, Hollman serves as CEO of Visual Impact Now, a Los Angeles-based nonprofit dedicated to raising funds and awareness for their partner, ONE SIGHT. The organization provides free eye exams and glasses to children and families in need. Visual Impact Now has participated in prominent events such as the Golden Globes Style Lounge, Coachella, Sundance, and LA Fashion Week. Their Host Committee and supporters have included celebrities like Zoe Saldana, Chris Pine, Debra Messing, Malin Akerman, Shaun White, January Jones, and Taylor Lautner. To date, they have provided eye care and glasses to over 7,000 youth in the Los Angeles area.
