Biography
Mandy Del Rio is a TV show host and producer, who has also worked on feature films, music videos, and artist promotion. Del Rio grew up in the small coastal town of Pacifica.
Del Rio began dancing, singing, and acting as a child. She first appeared in front of the camera as an extra in Disney's "Angels in the Outfield", which inspired her at a young age to pursue a career in the entertainment industry. She continued to fuel these passions throughout her adolescence and into adulthood.
Del Rio has performed backup vocals with various bands and has worked both behind the camera and in front of it on numerous projects. In 2010, she started her own company, Songbird Media Consulting, in which she booked tours for independent musicians and assisted with their social media marketing and promotion.
In 2011, Del Rio met Jack Thomas Smith while working on the set of his dark thriller, "Infliction". The two have been inseparable since, having worked together on the completion and marketing of that film as well as numerous other productions over the years, including music videos, commercials, and public service announcements. On St. Patrick's Day 2018, the two were engaged on the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art and were married on St. Patrick's Day 2024.
In 2015, Del Rio created, produced, and hosted her own cable TV talk show, "The Indie Lounge" which presented a forum devoted to established professionals within various industries, including entertainment, sports, literature, law, and politics. She interviewed a variety of guests from household names to independent artists.
Del Rio's parents instilled in her a deep respect and admiration for our men and women in uniform, as well as patriotism and a love for her country. She has always been a supporter of America's service members and comes from a long line of soldiers, dating back to the War of 1812. Her grandfathers served in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam; her father and uncle both served in Vietnam; and her oldest brother served in the U.S. Army towards the end of the Cold War.
Del Rio is one of the executive producers of the pro-military documentary TV series, "War Heroes" hosted by Benghazi hero Kris Paronto, which was created, and co-executive produced by Jack Thomas Smith. Del Rio and Smith produced the pilot episode of "War Heroes" which premiered Sunday, August 22nd, 2021 on Newsmax.
Del Rio, along with Jack Thomas Smith, co-produced Newsmax documentaries, "9/11: The Day that Shook the World", "Socialism in America", "Day of Outrage", "America Burning", and "Shame of a Nation".
Presently, Del Rio serves as co-producer, and show runner with Smith on the Newsmax documentary news TV series, "Newsfront" which focuses on politics, current events and human-interest stories. Episodes include, "Antisemitism in America", "America Under Siege", and "America Hijacked".
Del Rio is the proud mother of aspiring actress Luna Del Rio, stepmother to Megan Cruz (née Smith), and step-grandmother to twins, Angela and Olivia Cruz.
