Biography

Born and raised in Rome, where he proudly displays his origins through his accent, he graduated from the Alessandro Fersen Acting Academy in 1981. That same year, he played the role of "Ricciotto" in the famous Il marchese del Grillo directed by Mario Monicelli and co-starring Alberto Sordi. In the film, he portrays the loyal servant of the Marquis of Grillo, sharing in his adventures and participating in the great historical pranks devised by the legendary "Onofrio." In 1983, he once again worked with Sordi on Il tassinaro, where the Roman actor shares his candid philosophy of life while driving his taxi around the city. Gobbi played his son Luca, a graduate in engineering, in the iconic scene where the taxi driver Pietro even asks Giulio Andreotti (playing himself) for a recommendation for his son. Since then, his career has included various television dramas and numerous advertising campaigns, particularly for Vodafone alongside Bruce Willis. He also worked as a presenter and teleshopping expert on the HSE24 channel. In December 2015, he reprised the role of "Ricciotto" in Il marchese del Grillo, this time played by Enrico Montesano in a theatrical adaptation.
