Biography
Ambrosia was born on October 4, 1995. Her entertainment career began in September 1999, just before she turned four, when her Aunt Crystal informed her mother, Annette, and grandmother, Arcy, about an open call at a local agency in Corpus Christi, Texas. The agency, Infinity Modeling Agency, signed her immediately as a trip to Hollywood was planned for the IMTA Competitions. In January 2000, Ambrosia traveled to Hollywood, where she received 38 callbacks from agencies and management firms. By the following month, her mother and grandmother had relocated to Los Angeles to support her burgeoning career. Ambrosia booked her very first Hollywood audition in February 2000 for the WB TV sitcom Popular (1999) and became a SAG member shortly thereafter.
Ambrosia has been fortunate to work alongside some of Hollywood’s most talented celebrities. She performed on stage at the AMAs with one of her idols, Jennifer Lopez. She appeared in Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill: Vol. 1 (2003) with Uma Thurman and Vivica A. Fox. In director Preston A. Whitmore II’s 2007 film This Christmas, she worked with Regina King, Loretta Devine, and Chris Brown. Ambrosia has held co-starring roles in TV shows including CSI: Miami (2002), The Parkers (1999), Half & Half (2002), Jimmy Kimmel Live! (2003), Mad TV (1995), Popular (1999), and the 2002 pilot Astronauts. She has also appeared in numerous national commercials, print campaigns, runway shows, and music videos. Recently, Ambrosia has embarked on a new path in the music industry, writing and recording her own original songs.
