Biography
American singer, songwriter, and actor, Lambert has sold over 3 million albums and 5 million singles globally since 2009.
He gained recognition in 2009 as the runner-up on the eighth season of American Idol. That same year, he released his debut album, For Your Entertainment, which entered the U.S. Billboard 200 at number three. The album featured singles like "Whataya Want from Me," earning him a Grammy nomination for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance.
In 2012, Lambert's second studio album, Trespassing, debuted at number one on the U.S. Billboard 200, making him the first openly gay artist to top the chart. His third album, The Original High, released in 2015, debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 and included the single "Ghost Town."
In addition to his solo work, Lambert has served as the lead vocalist for Queen + Adam Lambert since 2011, participating in several global tours between 2014 and 2020. Their live album, Live Around the World, released in October 2020, debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart.
In late 2019, Lambert established the Feel Something Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to philanthropy, LGBTQ+ advocacy, and human rights. The foundation focuses on supporting initiatives that significantly impact the LGBTQ+ community, including education, the arts, mental health, suicide prevention, and homelessness.
