Biography

Voyo Goric was born in 1940 in Gacko, Bosnia and Herzegovina, then part of Yugoslavia, under the name Vojislav Govedarica. Before moving to the United States, he worked as a lifeguard during the day and a nightclub bouncer at night in his homeland. In America, he became a bodyguard, which led to a friendship with Sylvester Stallone. Stallone later cast him in a role in Rambo: First Blood Part II. Goric is often cast as a large, tough military figure or thug. He is best known for his roles in Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985), Lionheart (1990), and Universal Soldier (1992).
