Overview
Director Kevin Breslin’s Academy Award-shortlisted documentary, "Living for 32" (2010), premiered at Sundance. The film tells the inspiring story of Colin Goddard, a survivor of the tragic Virginia Tech shooting on April 16, 2007. Colin’s passion, charisma, and optimism have captivated the American public and media since the incident that claimed 32 lives and injured 17. In "Living for 32," Colin shares with Breslin a personal account of the terror he and his classmates faced, along with his courageous journey toward renewal and hope.

Breslin’s 2011 award-winning documentary #whilewewatch, a compelling portrait of Occupy Wall Street media, is available on SnagFilms. His 2013 film Blowtorch features William Baldwin, Lois Robbins, Kathy Najimy, Armand Assante, and Jared Abrahamson. Kevin’s first short film, "A Smile Gone, but Where?" (2002), screened at international festivals and premiered on the Oxygen Network alongside his second short, "Women of Rockaway" (2002), which won the 2003 Gracie Allen Award for Best TV Documentary. Other TV credits include "Heartbreakers," an Oxygen exclusive.
Kevin co-created, directed, and produced a series of PSAs for the "Made in New York" campaign, winning a 2007 New York City Film and Television Award. These PSAs featured stars such as Will Smith, Debra Messing, Colin Farrell, Danny DeVito, Ed Burns, and Rachael Ray. Recent projects include an exclusive "X-Men 3 Confessional" with director Brett Ratner for Mercedes and a featurette for The Boys and Girls Club of America featuring President Bill Clinton. His commercial directing credits include campaigns for Chevy Silverado ("This Is Our Country"), PGA, IBM, Seminole Hard Rock, Guinness, and the Brady Anti-Gun Campaign. He also directed and co-directed the Sprint campaign starring CEO Dan Hesse, showcasing New York City in striking black-and-white cinematography.
Documentary work includes "The Other Side of the Street," exploring the life of Jimmy Breslin and New York City newspapers. Kevin is also filming "New York Vertical" with acclaimed German photographer Horst Hamann, based on Hamann’s book of the same name.
Kevin Breslin’s directing versatility spans real-life subjects and actors alike. He is currently in pre-production on the feature film "The Teddy Bear Habit," adapted from the award-winning children’s book, and "The Unconquered," a feature-length documentary about the journey of the Florida Seminoles. His producing credits include the CBS documentary "American Nuclear" and the motion picture "UHF" starring Weird Al. As a young actor, Breslin appeared in films such as "Pope of Greenwich Village," "Cobra," "Out of Bounds," "Survival of Dana," "Rocky II," and "Raging Bull." He also wrote and directed the Off-Broadway play "Terrible Beauty," starring Tatum O’Neal and William Hickey.
