Biography
Alberto Pavón is a seasoned actor with extensive experience in film, television, and theatre, mainly in Spain. He was born on November 13, 1975, in Palma de Mallorca, Spain. His parents are José and Josefa Pavón, and he has an older brother, Baltasar, whom he regards as his "source of inspiration." As a child, Alberto was mischievous and, by his own admission, uncontrollable. He felt compelled to touch and explore everything around him, often dismantling toys and tools to understand how they worked, which frequently got him into trouble. Although a good student, his father initially hoped he would become a doctor, but Alberto had different aspirations.
During his teenage years, Alberto did not see himself as attractive. He describes himself then as awkward and too thin, and he admits he wasn’t popular with girls. At 18, when he was required to complete mandatory military service in Spain, he developed a passion for physical fitness, which he has maintained throughout his life. He credits his fitness routine with boosting his confidence, and after his service, he chose to become a personal trainer. This career led him to modeling and acting, which proved to be natural and successful steps for him.
Alberto competed in the annual "Mr. Baleares" male beauty pageant held in the Spanish Isles, finishing as runner-up. This exposure opened doors to further opportunities, raising his profile in the competitive modeling world. In the late 1990s, he moved from Mallorca to Barcelona, a key center for Spanish modeling. As he pursued training in acting and voice-over work, he began appearing in commercials for major European and multinational brands, including Burger King, Sony Tablet, Stefanel (Italy), Roomba, Ariel, Toyota (Japan), and ING Direct, for which he served as spokesperson in Spain.
In the early 2000s, Alberto relocated to Madrid to refine his acting skills, studying the Meisner Method, as well as on-screen and stage performance at the prestigious Centro de Artes y Técnicas Audiovisuales (CATA). He also trained under acclaimed Spanish instructors Ángeles Albadalejo and Miguel Garcés. Between 2006 and 2013, he maintained a busy schedule, performing in theatre productions such as "Eloisa está Debajo de un Almendro" and "Poquita Cosa," appearing in TV series including the popular "La Que Se Avecina" (where he played the brother), "Planta 25," and "Yo Soy Bea," and acting in feature films like "Aún Hay Tiempo," "Tequila," and the teaser "La Rabia," all produced in Spain.
In 2013, Alberto moved to Mexico City to break into the TV and film markets in the Americas. He quickly landed the role of the main villain in the Mexican telenovela "La Impostora," which premiered on Telemundo in January 2014. He stars opposite renowned Argentinian-Mexican actress Christian Bach and her son, actor Sebastián Zurita. The show was in active production throughout 2014.
