Biography
Through his career as a musician, arranger, producer, and film composer, Claude SAMARD POLIKAR has explored a vast array of musical landscapes with great success. He holds a Master's Degree in French Literature from Grenoble University-France, and is a graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, USA. Starting off as a studio musician specializing in a variety of stringed instruments such as the 6-string guitar, 12-string guitar, pedal steel guitar, oud, banjo, dobro, and bouzouki, Claude has become a highly skilled arranger, boasting numerous gold and platinum credits to his name. His work has taken him all over the world, collaborating with artists from Midnight Oil to Jean Michel Jarre, and including the likes of Patricia Kaas, Roger Hodgson, John Wetton, Manu Dibango, Billy Preston, Justin Hayward, Jon Anderson, Zucchero, Anggun, and Alan Simon (creator of Gaia and Excalibur), among many others.
