Biography
Suhasini Rajaram Naidu, widely known by her stage name Sneha, is an Indian actress active in the South Indian film industry. She is recognized for her girl-next-door charm and roles in female-centric films. Sneha made her debut with the Malayalam film Ingane Oru Nilapakshi (2000), directed by Anil–Babu, and was later cast in the Tamil film Virumbugiren, which released two years afterward. She then shifted her focus to Tamil cinema, with Ennavale, starring opposite R. Madhavan, releasing first that same year. Her first commercial hit came with Aanandham in 2001. Throughout the 2000s, she became one of Tamil cinema's leading actresses, acting alongside top stars such as Kamal Haasan, Ajith, Vijay, Vikram, Suriya, Dhanush, and R. Madhavan.
Sneha entered Telugu cinema in 2001 with Priyamaina Neeku, which was commercially successful. She went on to appear in numerous Tollywood films with prominent actors like Nagarjuna, Venkatesh, Ravi Teja, and Nandamuri Balakrishna, solidifying her status as a leading Telugu heroine. She has occasionally worked in Malayalam films alongside superstars Mammootty and Mohanlal, and has also appeared in a few Kannada films.
Her accolades include the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress (Tamil) for Unnai Ninaithu (Autograph) in 2002, and the Tamil Nadu State Film Award for Best Actress twice: in 2001 for Virumbugiren, Aanandham, and Punnagai Desam, and again in 2008 for Pirivom Santhippom. Additionally, she received the Nandi Special Jury Award (Telugu) for her role in Radha Gopalam.
