Biography

Evdokimov started his comedy career by mimicking famous people reciting well-known phrases. As a young boy, after watching the film "Kavkazskaya plennitsa, ili Novye priklyucheniya Shurika," he memorized lines spoken by Yuriy Nikulin. Since the movie was shown throughout the region, one village at a time, young Yevdokimov traveled by bicycle between villages to watch the film daily and learn the phrases. When he grew older, his first TV performance involved imitating the song Nikulin sang in the movie. Upon learning this, Nikulin felt honored that he had become so famous that people sought to imitate him.
