Biography
SAG Award nominee Madison Thompson is a versatile talent best known for her portrayal of Erin Pierce in seasons three and four of Netflix's Emmy-winning series Ozark. She plays Erin, the 17-year-old daughter of cartel lawyer Helen Pierce (Janet McTeer). Currently, she appears in the latest season of HBO's acclaimed drama Euphoria.
Madison’s recent work includes Lasse Hallström's The Map That Leads to You on Prime Video, which debuted at No. 1 on the platform, starring alongside Madelyn Cline and KJ Apa.
She previously starred in the Paramount+ musical series Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, a prequel to the classic Grease. The Hollywood Reporter praised the series as a "celebration of teen friendship." Madison stood out as Susan, the leader of the Socs and most popular girl at Rydell High, with Collider applauding her for "[finding] new and delicious ways to be mean," breaking the cheerleader stereotype.
Thompson also starred with Sabrina Carpenter in Prime Video’s Emergency, an official selection at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival, among other projects.
Soon, she will return to the stage in HAIRSPRAY at the Tony Award-winning Muny Theater, playing the witty Amber Von Tussle. She was recently announced as the lead in the comedic thriller The Lottery, opposite Sofia Wylie.
Behind the scenes, Madison is a producer on the Tubi hit Sidelined, recently served as lead producer on the Off-Broadway play Pretty Perfect Lives starring Elizabeth Lail (You), and is the original producer of the upcoming musical Like Father, which will premiere at Atlanta's Tony Award-winning Alliance Theatre. She is also an accomplished screenwriter, with exciting new writing projects set to be revealed this year.
Madison began performing at age ten in various musical theater roles, including Ariel in Footloose and Brigitta in The Sound of Music. She earned a 2018 Shuler Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her role as Wendy in Peter Pan.
Aside from acting, Madison is a recent graduate of the University of Southern California, where she was a Presidential Merit Scholar. She graduated summa cum laude from the Marshall School of Business and the School of Cinematic Arts with a BS in Business of Cinematic Arts. A proud Georgia native, when not acting, Madison enjoys painting murals, pilates, and sharing her culinary creations on her chocolate-themed Instagram account.
