Biography
Rhiannon's passion for performing ignited at an early age, beginning with dance at just three years old. By five, she was taking singing lessons, and at six, she immersed herself in acting. Desi Arnaz Jr. became her first acting teacher, while his wife, "Miss Amy," introduced her to dance-an experience that solidified her love for the performing arts.
At eight, Rhiannon relocated to Logan, Utah, where she continued her artistic journey. She joined a local competitive dance team, pursued private voice lessons, and frequently showcased her talents on stages both locally and nationally. Her dedication paid off as she garnered numerous awards for her solo and team performances.
In junior high and high school, Rhiannon honed her singing skills, competing in various country music competitions, consistently placing in the top three. Despite her love for country music, she always returned to her true passion: musical theater. Throughout high school, she was deeply involved in theater, participating in every production, while also being a member of the drill team and show choir.
After graduating, Rhiannon was accepted into The American Musical and Dramatic Academy, where she completed a two-year program in Los Angeles, CA. Shortly after, she auditioned for Legally Blonde: The Musical - The Search for the Next Elle Woods, competing in New York for the coveted title role on Broadway. Although she placed third, she secured the role of Margot on the First National Tour and understudied Elle Woods, eventually performing the lead role in over twenty shows.
Following her tour, Rhiannon returned to New York, where she graced local stages, participated in musical readings, and performed in regional theater across the country. Some of her notable credits include Amber Von Tussle in Hairspray in Concert (ISO/BSO), Audrey in Little Shop of Horrors (Revision Theater), and Patty Simcox in Grease (MUNY). In addition to her performances, she worked as an executive assistant at Theatersmith Inc., supporting multiple Broadway shows. It was during her tour that she met her husband, and they married in July 2014.
In 2016, they welcomed their first son, soon moving to Los Angeles, where their second son was born in 2018. After becoming a mother, Rhiannon discovered her love for running and fitness. She has completed four full marathons and nine half marathons, along with countless 5K and 10K races. Additionally, she teaches pre and post-natal fitness and works as a personal trainer and running coach in her spare time.
You might have recently spotted Rhiannon on Season 3 of Don't Forget the Lyrics on FOX, marking her triumphant return to the stage after an eight-year hiatus devoted to raising her children. Performing again after so long reignited her passion and brought her creative spark back to life!
Balancing her home life and acting career, when Rhiannon isn't performing she runs marathons (for fun) enjoys baking cookies, and always has coffee in hand to keep up with her 2 young boys.
