Biography
Verónica Montes, born in Lima, Perú, is an internationally recognized Peruvian actress. She is best known for her roles as "La Condesa" in El señor de los cielos, "Kika Braun" in Papá a toda madre, and "Lizbeth Álvarez" in La Piloto.
Montes is the granddaughter of Spaniards and daughter of Peruvians. She began her career at age three, appearing in commercials and serving as the face of various brands. At nine, she started studying dance and acting. At ten, she moved with her family from Lima to Miami, United States. In Miami, she pursued studies in business and communications and enhanced her skills through courses in singing, dancing, and diction. Her acting training includes guidance from notable figures such as Adriana Barraza, an Oscar-nominated actress, and Luis Mandoki, an acclaimed Hollywood director. She was a finalist in the competition Nuestra Belleza Latina.
Her early acting roles included soap operas like Amor comprado, Perro amor, Eva Luna, Natalia del Mar, Nueva Vida, Por siempre mi amor, and Amor sin reserva. In 2015, she portrayed "La Condesa" in El señor de los cielos, sharing the screen with Rafael Amaya, Fernanda Castillo, and Leonardo Daniel. The following year, she played Lizbeth Álvarez, a stewardess, in La Piloto. In 2017, she took on the role of Kika Braun, the story's antagonist in Papá a toda madre, acting alongside Maite Perroni and Sebastián Rulli, becoming one of the few villains beloved by audiences.
In 2018, Montes made her theater debut with producer Ruben Lara in Una pareja de 3, starring alongside Sebastián Rulli and Gabriel Soto. She also appeared in television series such as 40 and 20 as "Letty Vida Fit," Nosotros los Guapos as "Sofia," and Decisiones as "Gabriela." Additionally, she participated in the highly viewed dance competition Mira Quien Baila. In 2019, she played "Victoria Avila" in the political satire Promesas de Campaña and starred as "Helena Moya" in her first film, Padre se Busca.
Her voice acting debut came in 2020 when she voiced "Legsly" in Trolls 2 by Universal Studios. That year, she also appeared as "Sharpay" in Parientes a la Fuerza. In 2021, she lent her voice to "Tina Templeton" in Boss Baby 2 and made her reality TV debut in the inaugural season of La casa de los famosos. In 2022, she starred as "Andrea" in the first season of the television series Amores que engañan and played the antagonist "Tabatha" in the film Que padre... es mi familia alongside Marlene Favela, Carlos Ponce, and Eduardo Yañez. In early 2023, she appeared in Disney's series Lucha.
