Biography
She was an American bodybuilder, actress, professional wrestler, and wrestling valet. She worked with organizations such as Extreme Championship Wrestling (ECW), World Wrestling Federation (WWF), and XPW. From 1993 until her passing, she frequently appeared on The Howard Stern Show and competed in Stern's 1993 pay-per-view event, The Miss Howard Stern New Year's Eve Pageant. She later became part of the show's Wack Pack.
She guest-starred on four soap operas: The Bold and the Beautiful and Days of Our Lives in 1991, followed by General Hospital and Guiding Light in 1992. Bass made her ECW debut in early 1998, aligning with Justin Credible, Chastity, and Jason. She engaged in rivalries with Tommy Dreamer, Mikey Whipwreck, and Beulah McGillicutty.
Bass soon joined the WWF, debuting as Sable's villainous bodyguard at WrestleMania XV on March 28, 1999. She became involved in a prolonged feud with Debra McMichael, culminating in a mixed tag team match featuring Bass and Val Venis against Jeff Jarrett and Debra at the 1999 WWF Over the Edge event, which followed the tragic death of Owen Hart. Bass then partnered with Venis until she accidentally struck him with Jarrett's guitar after losing a bikini contest to Debra. The following week, she interfered in a match between Debra and Ivory, causing Debra to lose the Women's Championship due to Bass's interference.
This led to a short-lived alliance between Bass and Ivory, ending abruptly when Bass departed the WWF and filed a sexual harassment lawsuit against the company, alleging she was assaulted backstage by Steve Lombardi. The case went to court in 2003 but was ultimately dismissed.
Bass continued wrestling on the independent circuit and accepted bookings for public appearances and personal training.
Personal life
In 2006, Bass was hospitalized with steroid-related pancreatitis.
She married Richard "Bob" Fuchs in 1985; he passed away in his sleep in 2013 at age 64. At the time of her death, Bass was in a relationship with her business partner, Kristen Marrone.
Death
On February 16, 2017, Bass's official Facebook page posted a statement from her girlfriend Kristen Marrone, revealing that Bass had been found unconscious at her apartment and hospitalized. The post stated that all efforts were being made to assist her. Later that day, she was declared medically brain dead following a stroke. Surrounded by family and friends, she was taken off life support that evening. Bass passed away the following day, February 17, at the age of 52.
