Gary Axion was born in 1960 in Seattle Washington... It was the heyday of Country and Bluegrass music. Rock and Roll was well rooted and about to explode in radio worldwide!
Born into the Music and Radio broadcasting industry himself with his 3 other siblings, Gary grew up watching his father play country music on television and in the seedy taverns around Seattle Washington, and would frequent recording sessions with his father and his uncle (Gary Bryant) also a very popular and well loved Radio D.J. and accomplished Nashville Country Music Star.
Showing an aptitude at a very early age of around 4 years old to play guitars and other instruments Gary was then mentored by his father and his uncle, encouraging him to utilize his many evolving talents and he could sing and hold a note at that very early age of 4.
His Uncle (Gary Bryant) had written many country songs of the era in the 50's 60's and the band he was a member of opened for Elvis Presley. Gary Axion never learned of this until his mid 20's. By the time Gary was 16 he had obtained an FCC 3rd class radio operators permit in 9th Grade and began broadcasting on the Air.
Gary then interested in the News industry, became a news reporter in his early 20's in Seattle. After obtaining a used video camcorder from a pawn shop in Tacoma Washington in 1980, Gary started to make movies while away from his wife because he was too embarrassed to let anyone know he had that talent as well... Gary suffered from stage freight most of his life... He secretly created 2 commercials. One for a local car dealership and the other for a major radio station in Seattle.
While broadcasting Gary became very interested in the world of music and concert promotions. After moving to Phoenix Arizona Gary opened up his own booking agency named Country World Entertainment and booked many of the top billings of what was titled "Today's New Country" a phrase he coined and then local radio station KNIX picked up.
When approached by an agent at a local Scottsdale Az. mall, Gary then became a Male billboard and print model in 1996 and he expanded his media mogul-ism into the publishing world. Never satisfied with just knowing a little bit about mass media he climbed upwards and began distributing music and movies. Nothing was going to satisfy his unquenchable thirst for knowledge and knowing the analog TV, music and film and industries were about to go digital with the advent of the CD Gary then excelled in his knowledge of computers and software for music and video every step of the way as the media industry's along with Microsoft were still in very infant stages!
Gary says "I look back into the early 80's when the popular BBS systems were the only way to get online and before the internet and IBM PC's were even developed, I figured a way out to transmit the very first color digital images from one Amiga 500 to another Amiga 1000 computer another over a telephone line" "I would go to every computer group meeting in the entire SeaTac area to learn how to get this done before anyone else could... And... well I did it!!"... He as we know today was the first to ever upload and download photos from the popular movie called "Star Wars" of Darth Vader and Storm troopers, in this fashion allowing his users to see and download the color images for the first time ever! His Bulletin Board System was called EDS-5 (Empires Death Star 5) and was operated out of Tacoma Washington. "This just had me absolutely hooked on film and animation transmission online... I thought some day we will see this happen every day as if it had always been around. Granted the images were only red, green, or blue and a bit blurry, but you could actually see them!"...
