Biography
Graduated from the Higher Courses for Scriptwriters and Film Directors in Moscow.
Her thesis film "Faith" was nominated for the Golden Eagle Russian Film Academy Award for Best Short in 2017. It also won the Grand Prix at the 36th International Film Festival “Fajr” in Tehran, Best Cinematography at the Brooklyn International Film Festival (New York, NY) and Flickers International Film Festival (Providence, RI), as well as Best Student Unproduced Script at Wildrose International Film Festival in Des Moines, IA.
She has written and directed five short films to date: "Charisma," "Mendel's Joke," "Happy Paradise," "Faith," and "Mum's Hairpins." These works have been officially selected for numerous festivals, including Kerry International Film Festival, Asiana International Short Film Festival (Seoul, Korea), PÖFF Sleepwalkers International Film Festival (Tallinn, Estonia), 29th Dakino International Film Festival (Bucharest, Romania), 28th Festival de Tyo (Cergy-Le-Haut, France), 16th Annual Tallgrass Film Festival (Wichita, KS, USA), 17th International Student Film & Video Festival of Beijing Film Academy (Beijing, China), and the 14th Myrtle Beach International Film Festival (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, USA).
In 2018, her original debut full-length screenplay "WHITE WHALE" won First Prize for Best International Screenplay at the 36th Flickers International Film Festival in Providence, RI.
She participated in Berlinale Talents 2019. Her film "Mum's Hairpins" received Best International at the 15th HollyShorts Film Festival, screened at DC Shorts International Film Festival, the 17th In The Palace International Short Film Festival, and won Best Short Film (1st Prize) at the Rhode Island Film Festival, an Academy Awards® qualifying event. "Mum's Hairpins" was one of eight projects selected through a partnership between Studio21 and HollyShorts, the Oscar-qualifying short film festival in its 16th year. During the shorts2series presentation block on the first day, these eight ‘most-likely-to-succeed’ shorts were showcased to the global market, followed by discussions with the filmmakers about their projects and development ambitions.
