Biography
Nauheed Cyrusi, an Indian actress born in Mumbai, has a name that means 'Venus.' She has a sister, a dog named Satch, and comes from a non-filmy family. The Cyrusi family resides near Podar College in South Mumbai.
After completing her Secondary School Certificate at J.B. Vacha School, she attended Jai Hind College and Basant Singh Institute of Science and Technology in Churchgate, Bombay, both affiliated with a university. Following graduation, she pursued an M.Com. degree through correspondence.
Initially aspiring to be an air hostess, Nauheed shifted to showbiz after three years of modeling. She appeared in numerous TV commercials and print ads, having started modeling at 14 with a Dhara Oil campaign while still in school.
Despite gaining popularity through TV ads and the music video "Piya Basanti," her film career has been disappointing, with several box office failures. She also acted in the Telugu film "Sakhia" opposite Tarun, which did not succeed.
Nauheed featured in the TV serial "Hip Hip Hooray" and participated in events like the India Fashion Week 2007 and the Allen Solly Fashion Show alongside actress and TV hostess Koel Purie.
She was among the top five contestants in Level 2 of the popular TV show "Khatron Ke Khiladi" but was eliminated after failing a stunt.
Her performance in the 2006 English comedy "Rockin' Meera," filmed extensively in Rajasthan and California, received recognition.
Nauheed is one of the few Parsi artists in India, alongside Boman Irani, Piloo Wadia, Kurush Deboo, Shenaz Treasurywala, Persis Khambatta, Perizaad Zorabian, Sohrab Modi, and Ardeshir Irani.
When stressed, she enjoys swimming or walking on the beach. She also likes watching TV shows like "Friends," Hindi films, and playing badminton.
