Biography

David J. Frias was born and raised in New York City. Son of Jose Richiez and Zoila Frias, who were both born and raised in the Dominican Republic. His parents came from a life of poverty to obtain a better life in the United States. They raised 7 kids and put 3 through college, they have been his inspiration. David's decision to go to film school came after his brother passed away at the age of 20 in a tragic accident who had always wanted to write films with him.

David attended a film school called Full Sail in Orlando, Florida and graduated with a Film and Entertainment Bachelor's Degree.

Some of the filmmakers he most admires are Alfonso Rodriguez, a legend and very highly respected director/actor in the Dominican Republic and Robert Rodriguez, Director of Desperado, etc.
