Biography
Dr. David Amron is a board-certified dermatologic surgeon and a pioneer in lipedema surgery. With over 30 years of experience, he has performed more than 12,000 surgical procedures throughout his career. He is internationally renowned as a leading specialist in lipedema, liposculpture, and revision liposuction surgery.
He is the Founder and Medical Director of The Roxbury Institute, with locations in Beverly Hills, CA, Tucson, AZ, and Salt Lake City, UT, where he has focused his career on advancing lipedema reduction surgery. He also leads the Advanced Lipedema Treatment (ALT) Program and trains surgeons through a structured fellowship program, many of whom later join the Institute’s clinical team.
Dr. Amron is a nationally recognized speaker and surgical advisor. In addition to his clinical work, he has appeared as himself in film and television projects, including The Disease They Call Fat (2015), Celebrity Plastic Surgeons of Beverly Hills (2016), We Live in Public (2009), and Plastic Surgery: Before & After (2002), and serves as a sought-after television medical expert providing clinical commentary and interviews across major broadcast and news platforms. He is also the creator and host of Lippy Logic(TM), the first comprehensive educational YouTube series dedicated to lipedema.
An outspoken advocate for awareness, education, and insurance reform, Dr. Amron founded The Lipedema Society(TM) in 2015 to advance global understanding of the disease. In 2023, he released his best-selling book, Liposculpture and Lipedema Surgery: A Guide for the Patient and Pearls for the Surgeon, reflecting his patient-centered philosophy and commitment to education.
