Biography
Flavia Moraes is a film director, editor, producer, and digital innovator working with brands and organizations both in Brazil and internationally. For over 21 years, she has led FilmPlanet, the company she founded, building a remarkable presence in the national and international production markets across São Paulo, Los Angeles, Buenos Aires, and Rio. She has united ideas, clients, and talent to produce and direct more than three thousand commercials, films, TV series, and concerts. Her work, seen by millions, includes collaborations with major brands such as Coca-Cola, Nestlé, Budweiser, Universal, TNT, and Rock in Rio. Flavia was among the first Brazilian directors to join the Directors Guild of America (DGA) and has received prestigious awards including Cannes Lions, Clio, LIA, FIAP, and others worldwide.
In 2012, she joined RBS Group/Globo TV as Head of Innovation, leading the company’s shift from a traditional communication model to a future-oriented media organization. She directed a comprehensive global study called “The Communication (R)evolution,” which gathered insights on technology, communication, and entertainment, culminating in a TEDx talk. During her tenure at RBS, she also led the development and launch of OCTO, an experimental multimedia channel combining new technologies, social trends, and traditional media. Now based in Los Angeles, Flavia is pursuing new projects and collaborations.
