Biography
Jan Antonín Duchoslav (born May 1, 1965, Prague) is a Czech actor and host.
He attended high school but did not complete it, largely due to the fame he gained after the film Snowdrops and Gnats. During his military service, he was sentenced to ten months imprisonment for bullying, but was released after just 19 days thanks to an amnesty by President Husák. Since the 1980s, he has worked in various roles including props handler, promoter, businessman selling women's shoulder pads, producer, ski instructor, and lighting technician. He is divorced. He and his ex-wife, Klára Stibůrková, a lawyer, have two sons: Antonín (born 2008) and Jan (born 2012). He has long been a performer at the Radek Brzobohatý Theater in Prague. He is best known for his role as Viky Cabadaj in the film Sněženky a machři, but also appeared as a Turk in Rafťáky, a policeman in 2Bobulí, Viktor Hofman Jr. in Surgery in the Rose Garden, Miky in the series Third Floor, and as the clumsy gas station manager in the sitcom Benzínka. He also played a shady character in the series Doctors from the Beginnings, where his co-star was Dita Hořínková, with whom he also worked on Benzínka.
Besides acting, he has hosted several shows, including a talk show with Iveta Bartošová on TV Pětka, and the show Bulvárek. After Bulvárek ended, he hosted a competing program on TV Relax titled Closely Watched Train.
He has also served as the Winter Inspector for Televizní noviny, reporting on ski resorts and their conditions.
